The ingredients needed to cook apple cake:
- Provide eggs
- Take green apples peeled and cored
- Get organic coconut sugar
- Take water
- Provide coconut oil
- Take flour
- Get baking powder
- Get hazelnuts or almonds

Steps to make apple cake:
- dice 3 of the apples into 2cm cubes and thinly slice the remaining 2 for top of cake. then coarsely chop nuts in a food processor.
- beat the eggs with the sugar until smooth.
- add all remaining ingredients, but fold the diced apples and chopped nuts in after you have combined all other ingredients.
- pour into greased cake tin and top with the sliced apples, then sprinkle with some coconut sugar. place in preheated oven on 170°F for about 50 mins or until cooked.
- NOTE: for gluten free cake, I used raw buckwheat from woolies and ground it with the bullet. You can also use normal sugar and oil, I just used the coconut stuff cos of the health benefits and it doesn't compromise the taste at all.
